At King’s, we have our own NHS Health Centre that students can join for free. Our article How can I register with a doctor and/or dentist? provides guidance on how to register with a GP for the first time. Before starting at King’s, we also advise that you get certain vaccines as they are the best defence against severe illness. If you have already had them, you may need to bring a record when registering with a GP. Find out all the details on Student Services Online. You may have heard there has been an increase in cases of measles in London and the UK. The best way to protect yourself and prevent the spread of measles is to have two doses of the MMR (measles, mumps and rubella) vaccine. Find out more in our article What do I need to know about measles? You can also contact the King's NHS Health Centre for advice if you’re registered with them.
