To kick-start your journey, here are our top tips to help you prepare for your first few weeks at Kings.

Celebrate the start of your journey with Welcome to King's, from Monday 6 – Friday 17 January 2025.

The Welcome to King’s - January 2025 guide on the Welcome to King’s app is the best way to get started and plan for Welcome. Download the app on your phone (iOS/Android) and use the passphrase welcome25 to open the guide and find out more about Welcome events and activities, including those from your faculty. If you don't have a smartphone, you can also access the guide via your web browser.

You can book online and on-campus events from Thursday 2 January.

Look out for more information about the King’s Student app in the coming weeks, designed to support you throughout your time with us.

Attend the Welcome Events

We're hosting a range of exciting events to welcome you to King's. Here are some of the highlights:

Welcome Hub: Monday 13 January, 11.00–14.00
Meet King's staff in person and find out more about how they can support you during your time here.

Vintage clothing fair: Tuesday 14 January, 13.00–15.00
Update your wardrobe with second-hand clothing at bargain prices.

Bus tour: Wednesday 15 January, 13.00–15.00
Come along for the ride and discover London’s famous landmarks and attractions.

Movie night: Thursday 16 January, 17.30–19.30
Relax and socialise with fellow students, with light refreshments provided.

Important to know: We're dedicated to reducing alcohol at our events to make them as inclusive as possible.

Attend your orientation

Celebrate the start of your journey with Welcome sessions from the Global Mobility team, who will be in touch with you about your orientation and schedule of events. Be sure to keep checking your inbox as these sessions are essential to attend.

There is also the helpful Welcome to King’s video channel on the Welcome pages, which takes you through various services available to support you and enhance your time here.
